Hughes and co have made a right mess of what was a title winning and challenging squad. It takes real incompetence to allow 3 of your star players to walk for free and then not even address the area (center Midfield) where we were exposed in many games last season. That and the fact that we’ve brought in. Relatively unknown winger and are looking like we are going to sell Gakpo, granted he was terrible last season. Hughes etal should be gone. My worry is we will be low another 100+ million on another flop

We are worryingly short on strikers and central midfield was a massive achilles heel for us last season. That and being short on both fullback areas is a massive worry. I think we are even struggling for top 4. Not really fair to Irola if we don’t add to the ranks

Of course. I will always support liverpool players. Mybe it was harsh calling them dross. Im more disillusioned woth the club who just seem all over the place maki g on bad decision after next. I hope Irola comes good but he has one arm tied behind his vmback at the moment. Or did we put a lucky last minute bid for him after the Geordies had done all the work. I may be wrong but gut feeling is our recruitment is all over the pace at the place at the moment.

Since Hughes has been involvrd we’ve bee inept at getting our targets without a big saga, we’ve lost Guéhi in the last minute after loads of faffing about, we’ve lost over 200 million value of players obn a free and bought with the exception of Ekitike lots of expensive dross.... Can we get the people who found the likes of Salah , Robertson and Szoboszlai back. Hughes seems to care more about his image, his highly quaffered appearance and getting Bournemouth over to Liverpool rather than working hard on recruiting an retaining players

As I said on a previous post this makes no sense to a layman like me. I can only think there is some clever plan as even the non educated football person can see we are letting experienced members of a title winning side go for free. No one does this. If you look at the successful sides of the past it is one or two go and one or two come in. Keep the mentality. I am beginning to think Hughes is that arrogant he thinks they can just put a team together base on moneyball and it will succeed. Surely we get in FFP issues now because we have nothing coming in to offset Transfers

There is some massively amiss here. These guys are bright guys who have done well with sport Franchises. They must see how far we’ve dropped this season and it doesn’t take a shankly, paisley or Klopp to work out the change in fitness, physicality and style of play has led to us having tonnes of possession but getting broken on like a hot knife in butter and bullied and out run by nearly every team in the league. This is fact and data which they supposedly make all the decisions on. That coupled with the fact that the manager has lost the team and the majority of fans is so obvious it is incomprehensible that they will allow the current management team to continue into next season. The strange thing is we appear to be letting obvious candidates go to other teams. Either there eye is well off the ball or you have to believe there is some sort of master plan. Because as a fan of 50 years I can’t remember a time wher I less looked forward to Liverpool games… and I emwent through the Hodgeson era. If there isn’t a plan Edward’s Hughes an the lot should be sacked with immediate effect

How have we gone from the most canny club in the prem to cletus sitting on the porch playing a banjo. We cant possibly be trusting Hughes with this after the summer business.

Love the turn around Ekitike and Wirtz combo class. Cant help wondering if likes gets a kicking of Arnie for not passing it across the back until Newcastle get in position for the second goal
