Big call* dropping Delph in midfield and going with Iwobi, Gray, Gordon along with Richarlison. Edit: *Just seen its probably more about fitness -

100% The front 5 have been blending very well and Origi has not started a league game this season. There is limited rationale why we would leave 3 of the front 5 on the bench to have Origi start with 2 others especially as his "sub minutes" have been negligible, so there is no indicator in terms of either "front 5" availability or his games/minutes coming on from the bench - to suggest he is anywhere in the consideration. -
Fair play to you for even knowing that there is a penalty in the game if that is the scoreline
-
What if our game finishes on the last day of the season and City is still playing and concede a 95th min penalty ? It still won't be in our hands, but imagine ........
-
You could also say that rest & recovery are a big part of this part of the season - so if those players like TAA/Robbo/Salah are getting the minutes (and they are generally fit players) then that's working. Thiago & Keita have less than 2,000 and arguably need their game time managed more. Matip is an outlier compared to previous season, but is being managed with Konate. Fabinho & Henderson - a bit like Matip but to a lesser extent in the sense of their availability being impacted by injuries. But at this stage I suppose its about avoiding injury whilst ensuring players are conditioned to put in a very high level rather than just being fit enough to get out and play.

If his team gets a result, he'll be Liverpool's f***ing soggy lettuce

I tend to caveat that I am employed at a certain place rather than "work" there

"Spent" - but did you work any of them

There's our squad by minutes played in all competitions with still 810 minutes to be added, or 900 minutes if in the Champions League Final 3,000+ mins LFC 9 players MCFC 5 players 2,000 - 3,000mins LFC 1 player MCFC 9 players City's most 18/19-Laporte 4,352 19/20-Sterling 3,987 20/21-Dias 4,332 21/22-Cancelo 3,962 Conclusion: Van Dijk unreal after last season's injury ! Trent, Mo (plus Afcon minutes), Robbo have generally excellent fitness levels, so could hit 4,000mins. Laporte & Dias being CBs are not directly comparable to Sterling/Cancelo in terms of running. We are doing really well to have Henderson, Matip and Fabinho available as consistently Thiago & Keita < 2,000mins due to fitness/injury. Availability will be key for those 2 rather than fatigue

Maybe we can have both - this time we let Origi grab the ball from the net and get back to the half way line to restart the game and then go for another 4 or 5. -

If you are giving me a guaranteed option with zero risk then its an Origi-esque game. I say that only because this title race will have a few heart flutters in there - be it a red card, a mad game, a last minute goal, VAR controversy or something topical thats not a 5-6 nil win. So if I get an option that we can scratch off one of those lottery items with a guaranteed last minute winner - then I'll take it. Otherwise, and in the real world, its a 5-0 win to keep the juggernaut rolling and goal difference is a massive factor in this if there is a slip up down the line. -

When they played City at home and lost 0-1, they played a 4-3-3 with Coleman (RB) and Kenny (LB) as the full backs. In the 8 league game since City at home, they've tried a back 3 at home to Wolves and away to Palace and lost both. Whatever way they go, they are going to need loads of energy to save their full backs from our wide players. Coleman against Robertson and Diaz on that side could be overwhelming if he doesn't get support. If that support comes as a back 3 then they'll be drawing us even further on to them. The middle 3 looks like its Delph, Allan and Doucoure. Whether that's with 4-3-3 or 5-3-2, they are a midfield trio that you think will not beat a press if they are pressured before taking their 2nd touch (unless that 2nd touch is a pass backwards). Before City away, my only concern to that game was a slow start. We seem to have got over that lately and I cannot see us starting slowly given its a home game at a decent time which should lead to a good atmosphere and that there is more fun to be had if win control early and play the game at our pace. -

I'd happily take no more goals for the next 20mins and let Brighton make it a 10min game at 1-0. We've had to survive them, that's about the only thing I can think of - that or a red card for City. -

That worked for a second but then it flipped over the Arsenal game, did htat just happen to you. It was mad, was on the City game and then flipped to the Arsenal one. -

Are you watching online ? Can you share a stream link - I'm struggling to get on. They're mostly Chelsea/Arsenal -
I just expected this to be on TV but its Chelsea vs Arsenal (fair enough). Suppose I'll check the scores every few minutes on Teletext
-
I promise you that if it’s 0-0 with 10mins to go then I’m backing a City win. How’s that ? Nothing before the game though
-
I plan to put it on with the mentality that every second that passes at 0-0 is a second closer to them worrying that they are about to let the initiative slip. It won't, like, but sure I'll have fun when its 0-0 simply knowing that they won't enjoy being at 0-0. And sure if Brighton happens to score first, it would be more time spent watching the absolute best & most entertaining football league in the world.

Brighton's players will contest that game better than the United players tonight. Unfortunately they were shocking at home and got beat 1-4 by City. They couldnt put a pass together. The only hope/expectation I have is that we will see them get out of their own half for a few attacks as opposed to some other teams that will bottle it on the ball. If that translates into something, lets see.
