I don't think many of our players came through that game as good as we'd have the right to expect, even taking into consideration of how badly we tend to play there. I'm still pissed off we didn't keep our heads on and destroyed them like we should have, old Trafford or not they are s***. How/what/who made it happen I don't really want to think about ever. Nunez was quite poor/not very good but still got a very good assist. He has this going for him, things happen when he's around. Not always great, some times quite far from it, but stuff happens and I love him for that. And he doesn't quit - maybe he did this game my memories are blurred. He should/could have got another assist if he'd played it back to Szoboszlai instead of squaring/blamming it to no-one, it was the obvious and really the only choice. At the time I thought he was looking for Diaz. Which was the wrong choice or just a s*** attempt that Diaz never would have gotten to it as it was a crap pass, but I don't understand the position Diaz takes either. He should have gone inside of their no 20 and bolted to the goal imo. He takes himself out . But to his defence, if I remember correctly, most likely I do not, he had carried the ball at high speed for a long time. The decision we were making were so bad at times it beggars belief. Some calmness and calculation was needed. We just wasn't on at all and that is still infuriating. Macca was very good, I don't really remember anyone else being close to his level. I might be wrong, I don't feel like watching the game again. I still think Nunez is great and expect great things from him, nothing has changed in that respect for me. Jota is sorely missed though no doubt about that. And so is our attitude. We could be flying to the league but we crashed. Still don't think we're out of it and won't until it is actually impossible.

Thanks for laughing at it @Hassony Anyway, I love Darwin as a player. He gives his all every time, hit or miss. And it just feels like he is gonna make all the mockers go into hiding and be a part of something massive. edit: it just feels made to be. No reply needed. Than you.

I can see the confusion caused and how left field it was, sorry. It either went to fast or to slow or to batik. All of them most likely. It's just something so strange and rare with Darwin, it feels like it's meant to be a success. So lost at first, ridiculed and unable to do his thing. But so full of good, a genius at his thing. Rare. So rare it feels meant to be. Cosmic - that's the second time in my life I say that word without taking the piss btw. I'm not making it better am I. Anyway. He'll win us the league.

I didn't realise we had bought the best midfielder in the league when he came in. I didn't get the fuzz when he was playing DM/6. Not a realisation made today but still. What a player he is. What a strike today and what a player. Best midfielder in the league. I'd fancy him to win it for us. edit: I didn't watch the WC for obvious reasons. Cracked and watched the extra time of the final as I'm not an idiot.

I think he was a great buy, lots of talent. But he's not made for games against the lower parts of the league yet is he. All his close technique stuff only brings him in harms way and he seems lost in games like this, timid. And it's a pen now for chelsea if anyone cares.
