Nintendo's New Console

This console, due to be displayed in playable form at a big trade show next month has had it's name unveiled. Previously codenamed Revolution due to the fact that it's controller is revolutionary because you can physically move the controller itself to co ordinate your on screen character has been officially called Wii.

 

Yes that's right Wii, pronounced we or wee. So you go into your local games shop and say "can I have a wii please?" or tell your work mates that you're going home tonight to play with your wii wand, hope my wii doesn't get too hot, I think my wii is broken, etc

 

Think of the games - Mario Wii, Donkey Kong Wii, Princess Peach Wii. It is the work of undoubted genius or coke snorting head up a*** marketing people who didn't bother to look into the connatations of the word in English - except that in Japanese their isn't even a sound like this in their language!
