kenny7 Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 Looks like Fowlers lost a good few pounds and gained a yard or two of pace, the speed at which he moved onto the ball to score his goal yesterday was quite good for him.
R A Softlad Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 Don't think he'll catch Liddell but I think he'll break the 200 mark.
Andyjandy Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 tbf he does very well to ge on the hand of that one yesterday..he is quick getting onto that position to get on the hand?
Guest Garstonite Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 Between now and the end of the season, before he heads off to Wigan? No way.
Nerik Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 If he stays for 2 more seasons I can see him doing it.
Swipe Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 Looks like Fowlers lost a good few pounds and gained a yard or two of pace, the speed at which he moved onto the ball to score his goal yesterday was quite good for him. I actually though that too.
smokescreen Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 I still can't get over the fact Rush has got 346. that's ridiculous. Indeed. I think back to how many times I have seen Robbie stick the ball in the net, and he has now scored exactly HALF of Rushies goals... No-one can ever beat that record surely, especially in these days of loyalty to your club...
Poolfrog Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 I'd dearly love him to obviously because it means about 17 more liverpool goals but beyond that it would be a great landmark for my ex-favourite player. I still can't get over the fact Rush has got 346. that's ridiculous. Can't see it myself Robbie looked sharp, is faster than for a long while (on a par with 2001?0 but it's relative, his link play & lay offs are excelllent.5 or 6 starts-2 goals.12-13 appearances-2 goals & 3-4 ruled offside goals?Should get a new contract on merit me thinks. I think Fowler's the only player where fans add his offside/disallowed goals to his overall tally. So by my reckoning he must have already overtaken Ian Rush on those terms
spencer Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 Can't imagine him not getting a new contract - he cost us nothing and his wages are not going to be high; plus his attitude is exactly what Rafa wants to see and the boss knows it would keep the fans happy. As for the goals - why not; next year we will have better wingplay than this season and I can see us scoring hatfuls and Robbie still looks sharp in front of goal. And let's face it, since Robbie returned, how many easy chances has he missed (hardly any); how many easy chances have the rest of the forwards missed in that same time (lost count!).
