how the f*** do you stop polo shirts collars going out of shape?

every polo shirt i have, the collar eventually goes out of shape when washed or ironed. Means you end up with the collar folding ina differnt place on one side of the shirt than the other, and looks schite.

 

Anyone got any tips?
