Andy @ Allerton Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Realised the other day that I haven't been to a dentist in around 8 or 9 years. I haven't got any fillings and checkups usually consisted of handing over a wad of cash to be told 'yep - all fine' I still haven't got any problems with my teeth, but as they haven't sent me any reminders for years - didn't get around to going. As I said - I have no problems, but thought I might as well go for a checkup, but apparantly if you don't turn up for 5 years - they boot you out of the practice - my stuff is still there - but they keep it. I have a couple of questions: 1. How can I get my hands on the records they are holding about me? 2. How easy is it to get into a new surgery for a checkup? I have heard that not many are taking new customers on I'm not that bothered - as I said everything seems fine, but would be good I suppose to get them checked over.. Thoughts..?
