It was Traores fault Carra was s***. It was also his fault that Morientes can't run, head, jump or hold the ball up. And stuff.

i agree

dont think there is anything u can do though...certain players are exempt its the way football fans are

thats my point It seriously annoys me that the things Gerrard does ALOT it must be said i.e give the ball away it is thrown out the window but the likes of Garcia recieve more stick for a lesser mistake.

Im Sure that Gerrard has given the ball awya more then any player for a long time.

In Liverpool I mean

There's a reason people have more patience with Carra having a bad game than Traore.

To be fair that wasn't my argument, My argument was how certain players make mistakes but others who the same get stick for it.

I just wanted someone to fall into the trap

If Carragher makes a mistake, has a bad game, it's rare. With Traore, it's just one thing after another so people get wound up. It's human nature and probably happens with every single club.

That said, Carra may have been poor last night but I honestly blame Traore for part of it. And I don't have some vendetta against him, I've backed him to come good for god knows how long but there's a time when enough is enough. Traore's older than Gerrard too.

You get less stick if you're sh*t less often

Carra was not up to his usual standard.

Why? because he did not get to play his normal game. He has an understanding with Hyppia, Finnan and Riise. last night both he and Finnan were moving inside to protect Traore and ,to a lesser degree, Warnock. We left space on the right of our defence and we were not getting anything like the normal kind of midfield cover for the defenders.

Maybe Carragher was over protective of his fellow defenders, but after seeing some of the Traore gaffes, it is easy to see why.

You are right when you say you get less stick if your not s*** all the time.

But the likes of Garcia get s*** all the time for scoring crucial goals like Gerrard.

Double Standards

It was Carragher's fault, but to be fair he hardly makes an error. Traore on the other hand... Also after Finnan left Simao, Traore failed to close him down fast enough, and thats why he had the freedom to score that wonderful goal.

Not really.

Garcia has scored some crucial goals but is absolutely infuriating to watch. Gives the ball away likes it's got the ebola virus. Something that makes supporters tear their hair out in frustration. let's face it, only for his goals we'd all want him sold asap. I like the guy and want him to do well but sometimes I want to throttle him.

Gerrard scores more goals, gives the ball away far less and is a much bigger influence on the side so fans tend to be more patient with him when he has a lousy game.

Ive Heard other wise, infact I would go as far as to say he has given the ball away more times then any other player...

He does give the ball away a fair bit. He also overhits quite a few of his passes which wastes the ball sometimes. Not to mention his infamous "Hollywood shots" that he pulls.

9 times out of 10 Carra would've come across and booted that ball into the main stand last night but he decided to control it and ended up trying something he couldn't pull off and gave the ball away. What Traore or warnock has to do with that I do not know. As I type, I can imagine Carra booting it away and running back to his position, shouting at the rest of the defence etc as he does every single game right now but last night he had a mind lapse. He was at fault imo and he buggered up. He doesn't have to be crucified over it (no one should) but there's no need to make excuses for it either. Nothing wrong with calling a spade a spade. Last night was one of thsoe nights where everything that could go wrong did and our player of the tournament last season f***ing up for the first goal (and also hit the post and missed a headed chance from corners) simply compounds the notion that it simply wasnt mean to be

Just before Carra gets the ball Traore does his nickname "Bambi on ice" justice. If he wouldn't have fallen he A. might have intercepted the ball or B. wouldnt have been out of position or even C. not been running past Simao like a headless chicken.

However Carra is still the main reason why Benfica could score their first goal.

I know Sami is bloody good, but any self respecting defender would not allow the ball to bounce before heading clear the number of times Traore does in one match. His positioning is clearly rubbish. Sami is slow and you don't see him chasing the ball around the pitch because he's always in a good starting positioning.
