What do you mean? According to some of the "experts" on here Rafa doesn't play Cisse out on the right.

 

If Rafa is going to give Cisse a run of games up front (and let's face it, he's hardly going to do any worse than Morientes is he?), I would have thought Arsenal is the game for him. Arsenal are going to come at us and we are going to need some pace up front to try and keep them on the back foot. We only have Cisse who can break into more than a trot. Failing that my four year old is available for selection.

If you read it properly you'll see that the thread is about a Cisse/Fowler partnership coupled with the strong midfield.

Lets be honest here...

 

Cisse is more of a threat to a defence than Morientes. Cisse has the ability to scare the opposing defence purely with his pace, even if he does miss - we never got him for £14mil for nothing, he can obviously do it. If you don't play a player for a while in his correct position ofcourse it's going to take some time for him to get used to playing up front again.

 

Fowler would be a good choice for Cisse imo,

I think you'll find people ripped you apart when you stated Cisse has played far more on the right than upfront this season which was total and utter drivel. Ignore any facts though eh? You usually do.

I still maintain Cisse has played more times on the right than as a central striker since the Super Cup (ie since about mid September). Yes, he has played as a striker and you did come up with an impressive list of games where you think he was played as a striker. Quite a few of them were games before the Super Cup though. The last two games? On the right I think....

We'd be carrying a lad who is stil nowhere near fitness and another who has shown a complete inability to hold it up and handing possession back to an Arsenal side who have shown two things repeatedly all season - one, that a physical approach hurts them and two, that if you make it easy for them to get the ball they can still cut sides open.

No vendettas just statements of fact. I think Morientes should and will leave in the summer but that doesn't automatically mean that Cisse is a good option on Sunday. We need a point and we need to get amongst them, harry them and work hard.
