Not giving a s***

Went into the local bargain booze tonight and the lass behind the counter wanted a word in private.

They have all been very supportive about Ste and it turns out that this lasses brother in law has gone missing from his home and she was asking my advice on what to do.

I was more than happy to help out, asked if it was reported to the police etc. and made some suggestions of what to do, and when I got home I emailed a to do list, a list of media contacts and a poster with wording for them to put a photo in and distribute, and also suggested where to distribute them to.

Anyway it brought home to me just how little support there is for such cases as her family who no doubt are frantic with worry.

The lad in case is 40 years old and has recently been suffering from a depression.

The feeling she had from the authorities is kind of that he's a grown man and he's gone off of his own accord.

The authorities have logged it but that's about all.

It's a terrible situation - with our own situation we have all privately said how lucky we have been to have the support of YNWA, Rawk, have contacts in the media and that my BIL owns a printers - and often questioned how it would be if a single parent's child (of whatever age) went missing without the contacts that we have.

Anyway this seems to have happened and basically it's all down to them to sort it out.

f***ing well pissed off as even with our contacts we know what a struggle it has been whilst somewhere in the UK the media are out in force taking pics of Jodie Marsh's c*** and the police are in unmarked vans on bridges with speedguns.

Hope this lad gets found soon.
