Dominus Maximus Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 ere Former Premiership referee Jeff Winter has accused Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho of double standards for accusing Lionel Messi of play-acting to get Asier del Horno sent off. Winter insists Del Horno's challenge on the Barcelona youngster was "110 times worse" than the incident which led to Liverpool goalkeeper Jose Reina getting dismissed earlier this month. Reina was red-carded for making contact with Arjen Robben, with the Blues winger roundly criticised for making the most of minimal contact."It's absolutely unbelievable," Winter told Sky Sports News. "It's only three weeks ago when Robben was touched in the face by the Liverpool goalkeeper, but what Robben does is dive to the deck like he's been hit by a bullet. "Here we are weeks later, he's turning around to an opposition player, castigating him for diving, play-acting and cheating, when in all honesty, the challenge on Messi was 110 times worse than Reina's contact with Robben."

XabisBadFoot Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 (edited) the challenge on Messi was 110 times worse than Reina's contact with Robben." Where does he get "110" from..??? Everyone knows that 48.4435% of stats are made up on the spot. He's right though, Moanrhinho is full of double standards. The c**t thinks everyone owes Chelski a favour. Why would we want to owe that team of Russian Maffia led tosspots a favour..? But yes, Winter is still a tw*t..!!! Edited February 23, 2006 by XabisBadFoot

The Hitman Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 Man has an excellent point and one I will emphasise to all who mention that sending off to me.
L19red Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 (edited) The man is still an absolute knobhound and one of the worst referee's ever.lets just ignore the fact that he never once refereed a game in which we lost. He was a bit of a drama queen at times, but it never did us any harm in the end. Edited February 24, 2006 by L19red
CarraLegend Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 lets just ignore the fact that he never once refereed a game in which we lost. Couldnt give a f*** to be honest, he's a knobhound in my eyes and still one of the worst referee's ever.
Guest Red Mist Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 He does a very decent job of defending refs on SSN, have to say. Pundits, players and managers bash refs non-stop and there is nobody to defend them. Now they have a hero in Jeff Winter, and he defends them admirably!
