Anyone been to Avignon or Bilbao?

Going to one or the other for easter rather than the footy.

 

13th and 14th April are very bad times on a personal level so like to be out of the country, and 15th April for obvious reasons.

 

Budget is about £250 each (going with a mate)

 

Options as follows

 

Eurostar & TGV to Avignon for 3 or 4 nights. 3 nights may include 1st class there and back.

 

OR

 

4 nights in Bilbao with a better class hotel.

 

Never been to either and will be booking early next week latest.

 

Anyone been to either can tell me whats good or bad about the two choices?
