Burning CDs

Bought 50 TDK brand CD-R80 disks for backing up my files and burning CDs for my car.

 

Problem is my DVD writer isn't regognising a disk as being in the drive. Can insert normal games or CD disks in there and it'll recognise them and play them or whatever.

 

However, all of the CD-Rs I have put in don't get recognised?

 

Anyone able to help? Herb? Charlie Clown?
