If you look at the stats page - Interesting that Stevie is top in shots taken by a long way, and also top 5 in just about every stat.

One man team ;-)

looking at chelsea, lampard tops the shooting, passing and crossing ctageories and is second in the tackling category. be interesting to see how chelsea would fare without him.

104 tackles for a player who doesn't even start every game is unreal though! momo must surely be the top tackler in the league.

IMO, about as well as the a*** without Henry.

another interesting stat is that no teams have scored against us or chelsea from outside the area, yet we have scored plenty.

I was interested to see that Xabi has put in 27 more tackles than Stevie. The common conception is that Xabi passes, but the down and dirty side to the game is not his cup of tea. Apparently he gets stuck in just fine (and a few connoseurs have noticed this to be fair).

It's not the common conception this year though, he's toughened up considerably. His improvement even on last year is incredible.

I think Xabi has concentrated on other aspects of his game throughout this year other than his passing, and honestly you can tell.

His passing hasnt been as consistant as it was last year, he doesnt seem to hit the target almost every time. Maybe im being a little critical, but i cant help but think that his passing has dropped abit.

Agreed. Part of it also down to teams are now putting players on him also, aka Spurs. Another learning curve which I'm confident that he'll overcome.
