Liverpool have today confirmed they expect young midfielder David Mannix to be out of action for four months with a broken leg.

Mannix sustained the injury during the second half of Monday night's reserve clash at Newcastle and visited a specialist yesterday to assess the damage.

 

The decision was then taken that no surgery is required, but the 20 year old is still likely to miss the rest of this season.

Gutted. He's been so unlucky with injuries over the years hasn't he...

 

I understand he's been working really hard to come back from the previous injury and now he was finally injury free for a long spell of time, and then this happens..

 

Believed to be a really big prospect I understand. Hope that lad bounce back quickly.
