Anyone else see it?

I spent a couple of months temping as a suicide bomber bofore I got my current juob. I haven't seen the film, but the work is pretty hard going.

i can genuinely say i have never ever watched an arabic film with Finnish subtitles

and to make things even more interesting there were swedish subtitles too

Gate of Flesh (Nikutai No Mon) ? "

This film is the earliest chronologically. Made in 1964, it centres on a gang of prostitutes, who are selling their bodies in order to survive post-war Japan. It was directed by Seijun Suzuki, who began making films in 1956, but was not recognised in the West until the 1980s. Traditional Japanese art and culture has obviously played a large part in the direction of this film. Gate of Flesh has scenes that shock us with their brutality, but others that almost shock us with their tenderness, particularly for a film made in post war Japan. Through this Gate of Flesh can be seen to heavily influence the other films in the season."

thats pretentious with a capital P and then some

the part about the subtitles is to say I didn't quite understand it all, and was looking to see if any one got the same understanding of the film with english subtitles
