Jezzman Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 From Patrick Vieira's autobiography: "When it came to supporters though, the first ones to really impress me were the Liverpool fans. When they sing "You'll Never Walk Alone", it's unbelievable. The atmosphere in their stadium is magical, it's the ultimate football atmosphere. Even the visiting team can't help but be taken aback because it's an incredible experience. When the fans all put their arms up in the air and sing that song, its fabulous. When I played at Anfield and heard them sing, it sent shivers down my spine. It's an unforgettable stadium because of its fantastic atmosphere and everything that Liverpool represents. Paradoxically, although playing at Anfield obviously gives the Reds an extra impetus, their opponents also benefit in the same way because they want to excel themselves, to be worthy of the place, of the ground on which they tread, of the history they are contributing too".
Guest Jack Bauer Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 It's why a lot of players want to do the shush thing.

cymrococh Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Great footballer, though.1127259The last good bit of commentary I heard...Vieira should have to buy a ticket to get back in after that.
Armin_Tamzarian Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Wise in the ways of the force push is Didi.
Foo Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Because he says one nice thing about our club does not mean that he's a class act. That is pretty typical of some people on this forum.
SkippyjonJones Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 That is pretty typical of some people on this forum.1127317 don't generalise like that. Its wrong, condesending and rude. If you don't like the forum please feel free to leave and stop being such an idiot. Or contact us and we will delete your account if you find it that awful.

NOTHING else... if that isn't class comments I'll never read any...
Maldini Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 A real class act is Paddy. 1127251Didi gave him the old jedi-mind trick there

That is pretty typical of some people on this forum.1127317 He's a World Cup winner, he was a vital part of an Arsenal side which played easily the most breath taking Premiership football for a decade. Viera is a class act by any definition of the word you care to come up with This is a guy who's been there, seen it and done it all over the world. If he feels sufficiently motivated to recognize in his book our club, its history and that special atmosphere at Anfield then I'm impressed even if no-one else is
