For those interested in (or obsessed by) stats

The Footballers Football Show (SS1 now, no doubt will be repeated) will probably be of interest.

Sam Allardyce, Damien Comolli and Chris Anderson (author of The Numbers Game) compete with each other to run down dead end streets ... all justified by extensive numerical evidence of course.

Caught it last night. Was quite poor in reality as I really like the analytical side of the game but it quickly became the 'Big Sam' show.

Allardyce comes across even worse than normal. A compete tool is being complimentary and our former Director of Spoofing gave a superb performance. Spoofer-iffic some might say, I'd call it top class spoofering as he did his best to justify spending £35m on Andy Carroll (the same Andy Carroll with no Int'l caps, 13 PL goals from 41 PL appearances in his lifetime) to Wenger spending £13m (that's £22m less Damien!) on Olivier Giroud (the same Olivier Giroud who had 9 int'l caps, 39 Top flight goals in 86 top flight apps - oh and he won Ligue 1 & played ) and how brilliant Arsenal are playing with him up top. Yeah that's right Damien, lets all sign Jozy Altidore cos Chelsea won a boat load of trophies with Didier Drogba.

90 mins of my life I'm never getting back.

Fat Sam came across as someone who is reeeaaallllyyy pleased with himself.

There were a few interesting little stats in the programme, I thought.
