Some very interesting inter-team clashes today - Vettel and Rosberg told to stay behind their teammates, one does and ends up 4th, one doesn't and wins.

Haha, Webber very pissed.

Woof, Webber pulling no punches (apart from a literal one on Vettel) in his podium interview.

Hmmmmmn.

Was absolute madness from Vettel. Webber did well to control himself after the race and on the podium.

Webber eased off, on the assurance that he wouldn't be challenged.

How do you punish Vettel though? He knows Webber is likely off at the end of this season, he doesn't care if they're not friends - he's regularly beaten him in the same car.

Do RB turn down his engine for a race? Fit normal car tyres on his car? Blindfold him?

You can't. He's 3 times World Champion. He wants to win at all costs and like you said, doesn't care.

They will have another incident now, guaranteed

Mayhem from Merc and more specifically the Red Bull goons. Vettel is well protected by Red Bull Management - no question.

Weber doesn't have anywhere near the support.

It was interesting to hear Ross talking to Nico and telling him that Lewis could go faster. And that in general after the last pit stop

drivers are driving to a specific laptime - which they can easily do.

So much of the racing controlled from the pit wall.

The Ferrari decision to stay out on a damaged front wing was just not good, especially as the first pit stop didn't happen until lap4.

Wild start to the season.

They had fuel issues so had to slow down to ensure they didn't stop on the track. There are plenty of reasons why drivers don't drive quite as fast as they'd want, tyre management being high up the list.

Got to be one of the most dull/pointless sports, at least as things are currently.

I'm no expert and haven't really watched for years so maybe there are loads of subtleties I'm missing - just seems that you've got a lad who is yet again miles ahead of everyone else without this being really reflective of ability.

I say that because isn't Alonso regarded by most as being the best driver on the grid? If so, it just seems a bit daft that he can't near Vettel.

It is a massive borefest currently.

Just switched it on, saw Vettel was winning again and switched it off. It's not his fault no-one else has a car that can compete but it's simply not interesting to watch.

Vetted is very good, less so when he has to come from behind, but he's consistently brilliant in races and qualifying. Alonso gets a lot of praise for getting the best out of his car, but Hamilton took care of him in his debut season so it's a difficult question as to who is the best. Red Bull have Newey who is regarded as the best designer and it is a team sport. Agree that Vettel dominating isn't exactly riveting, shame as behind him it's actually very competitive

It has been dull. There was a stage midway through the season where it looked like Mercedes may make a fist of it, but Red Bull just pulled away when the tyres were messed about with again. Since then it's been a boreathon. Shame, as if you took Red Bull out of the equation it's been quite a tight affair.

if vettel's so much better in the same car then webber then surely that proves that vettel's just a much better driver and deserved world champion

proves he's better than Webber

and he's a deserved World Champion but he clearly has the best car too

Think there's something fishy with Red Bull and the way Vettel's SO much better than Webber, who has loads more reliability issues.

Cars may be identical but drivers set up the car to suit their driving style, Vettel/ his mechanics may just be better at it than Webber...
