Fads and their shelf lives

I briefly stumbled upon this Gangnam Style thing on the radiogram yesterday and it got me to thinking...which other cultural fads have turned out to be instantly tedious the moment they appeared?

 

The other one I can think of is The Darkness.

 

They don't have to be musically related, by the way.
