charlie clown Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 My missus has an HP 530 laptop (yeah, I know) and over the last week or two she's had big problems with the power. The battery doesn't charge up. If I remove the battery and try to run the laptop directly from the mains that doesn't work (should I change some setting to allow that to happen?). is it likely that the battery is fecked and just needs replacing or is it possible that there is a more serious hardware (or virus) issue as she can't run it off the mains either? If it makes any difference the machine runs on Vista v.6.0 and she generally treats the battery very badly. Thanks.
