Using Word docs on an IPad

Hi all - I need to work with (edit and email) some Microsoft word documents for work, but am on holiday and only have the iPad and phone. Can anyone help me as to how to do this? Perhaps a recommended app?

 

Would really appreciate it if anyone can help!
