For my 40th, family decided to buy me a proper coffee machine, of my choice, within price reason of course, so I went stright for either Gaggia Cubika or Gaggia espresso red. However, just seen a cubika up close and the water bay isn't that easy to remove and replace full of water, the Red dosen't come with great endorsements on line, so I ask, are Gaggia as good as made out to be or should I find something else? I found an amazing retro looking Francis Francis one with a good write up, but it had an amazing price to Anyone on here have a proper machine and can give a man some advice, please?

Oh, I know that gaggia are having a bit of trouble at the moment and I don't want one of those capsual machines, I would like proper coffee.
