The name is annoying and his voice/pronunciation can be jarring at times, but some of his shows are really really interesting.

 

So far this week I have learnt about - The Apaches, What happened after Alexander the Great died, The Battle at the Eastern Front, The tribes of the Steppes, The fall of the Assyrian civilisation, Slavery and the influenc of intoxication on history.

 

While I'm sure he doesn't have anything like the knowledge of the likes of fyds, he is nonetheless very illuminating for someone like me with an interest in history in general and the lessons we can learn from it.
