just started reading one of your book recommendations from (I think) early last year - Peter Shapiro's Turn The Beat Around - The Secret History of Disco. Fantastic book. Manages the tough trick of being serious and thorough but entertaining too and obviously has a massive knowledge of music. It's made me compile an Amazon order this morning that is full of stuff he enthuses about that I've just not heard before.
