The good people at An Chartlann Náisiúnta/The National Archives have added the census returns for a further five counties to their searchable and browsable on-line database of the 1911 Census of Ireland.


But this week has mostly been spent playing with the prototype site containing the mid-eighteenth century Primary Tenement Valuation of Ireland and high-quality scans of the associated first-edition Ordnance Survey maps (1830s-'40s) overlaid on Google Maps and pretending it's for work.
