Pub Quiz

Me and some of my friends from uni have started going to a regular Sunday evening pub quiz recently. Last week we came 3rd by 1 point after we properly ballsed up some of the questions.

 

This week as we finished the penultimate round we were trailing one team (last week's winners). They had 77 we had 71. With one round to go the other team begin to celebrate their imminent victory, and very pleased about it they seem as well.

 

However the fat lady wasn't quite finished warming up.

 

The final score after the last round?

 

Us 106, them 104.

 

Oh how I laughed.

 

Ordinarily in that situation I'd be pretty pleased and would think it was a close run contest. However as this other bunch of tossers was practically backflipping their way around the pub thinking they'd won, f*** them.

 

Victory tasted particularly sweet.
