How can I trace someone's email address?

I have a gmail account which I've had since gmail started. Over the last couple of months I've been bombarded with spam, some of which is not picked up by the spam filters - and it's getting a bit of a bind. However, I've realised that someone is using a slight variation of my gmail account (it's the same as mine but with the addition of one extra dot - which gmail helpfully ignores and assumes is mine) when s/he registers on websites. The variation isn't a legitimate gmail account as all such variations effectly are my gmail address anyway.

 

Due to the info in the emails, including a registration email and receipt email for the iTunes store, I now know not only this persons full name but their address too.

 

I want to try to trace a legitimate email address for this person so I can ask them to stop using the variation of my gmail address for registering on websites. Is there any way I can do this?
