Barnesy_10
could be an interesting summer for them... No comment from Queiroz Queiroz keeps cards close to chest Manchester United assistant Carlos Queiroz issued a ‘no comment’ when asked if he is being lined up by Portugal as a successor to the Chelsea-bound Luiz Felipe Scolari. With Portugal’s Euro 2008 campaign having ended prematurely in the quarter finals against Germany on Thursday, the Selecao have turned to the task next in hand of considering candidates to lead the team through qualifying for the 2010 World Cup. Queiroz is one of the first names being mooted and Sir Alex Ferguson’s right-hand man admits he is flattered to be mentioned. However the 55-year-old Mozambique-born Portuguese is currently on holiday and does not wish to be drawn on his long-term future. “It gives me great pleasure that my name is linked,” Queiroz told Correio da Manha. “Have I been asked? I will make no comment. “I will not talk about this now as I am on holiday. http://sport.setanta.com/en/Sport/News/Foo...iroz-on-future/
Tones
So, Big Phil tells Ronaldo to go to Madrid. Then he comes to manage Chelsea, a big rival of united. Then his leaving portugal leaves a vacancy for maybe Queiroz to fill. Hes going to get on well with Fergie isnt he!
RP
I don't really like Scolari - but he definitely gets a couple of brownie points if he helps the mancs lose Ronaldo and Queiroz.
