Royal Ascot 2008

It doesn't start for another nine days but there's a potential winner running tomorrow so i thought i'd post it.

Fondled is running at Pontefract tomorrow night but is also entered in the Royal Hunt Cup - a race won last year by Royal Oath, who i tipped. At the moment Fondled is 14 / 16-1 in the bookies and 20-1 on Betfair but if she wins tomorrow night she'll be cut into about 7 or 8-1 and will come in sharply on the exchanges...it's a back-to-lay bet.

She's trained by James Fanshawe who loves an Ascot winner and has won the RHC before so may have targetted this horse for it - Fondled needs to win tomorrow night to guarantee a place in the RHC line-up so i'm hoping that's the plan.

Favourite for the Ascot race is Bankable who is as short as 15-8 in some places and although it's a superb horse it's also a shocking price as i don't think a favourite has won for 10 years at least. That said, the horse Bankable hammered by 3 lengths has since won a Group race at Epsom. but i aint tipping a 2-1 shot.

Looking forward to your in-depth analysis, BS.

I'll be going Tuesday, Friday and Saturday definitely. Maybe Wednesday as well, depends (partly on whether you've a strong fancy for that day!!)

Bankable's a stone well in. Banker for me.

And there have been loads of those go AWOL. Quick ground, thirty runners at Ascot...

However, Cumani did this with Purple Moon last year - peerless trainer, in my opinion.

I started analysing the races a couple of weeks ago so i'll be even better prepared - hoping to beat my 4 in a day of two years ago. And i should really have whacked Royal Oath at 25-1 last year.

It's on :hooked:

Any thoughts in the Wokingham you want to share BS?

I'm particularly interested in Hitchens...

It might not get in - even though it's rated 102 it'll receive a weight allowance as it's only 3 and it puts it amongst the horses rated 95 which was the lowest rating of a runner in this race last year.

To win this on it's first start of the season...well it'd be some performance.

I might back Nota Bene who was one of the quickest horses i've seen before it's injury and won recently on it's first race back. 25-1 is a massive price

Tomorrow looks a good day...

Queen Anne - Cesare e/w 7/1 with Bluebear.

King Stand - Captain Gerrard 40/1 (on betfair), a generous price but a very good race.

St James's Palace - Raven´s Pass e/w at 8/1, Bluebear.

Coventery - Oriziba 7/2, Lads.

Ascot Stakes - f*** knows

Windsor Castle - Donatavium 20/1 and She's a Shaw Thing at 33/1, both at Lads...

Good luck everyone!
