Now, firstly i starred out the details, not because i'm wishing to protect the scammers, but because, as you might expect, the details are legitimate details, but of someone who i suspect is totally innocent and none the wiser that his details are being used. It's totally fishy though, the email is allegedly from denmark, but the phone number has a +44 (UK) code. The Mr D.....M is actually a real person, and this email was sent via a real email address - that of a United States university professor (which i verified by googling the 'from' email address)...

 

Alternatively, it could be that the prof himself is at the centre of this scam and doing a bit of a sideline in online fraud :D

 

Question is, do i email him and, assuming his innocence, warn him that these are being sent from his email addy?

 

Or do i keep schtum and claim my free Toyota? :yes:
