AmassiveSlot Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Right basicly my old grandad used to br a Anfield lad ... and today he asked me to help him find the name of a pub/hotel his dad used to own. (James Daniel Mitchell) Himself his sons John(my grandfather) Vic and Jim used to live in. They were there in the late 30s- Early 40s On at the time Dock road.. now known as Bath Street or Waterloo RD. He haid it was almost on one of the two docks either Princess or Trafalgar docks... he wasnt sure. When James owned it the brewery was Trelfords. Last time he visited it he belives it was a cafe called either Franks or jakes.... After owning this hotle/pub they moved into the Leburnham and ran that for a while..... My grandad had to move out of Liverpool during the blitzs and was stuck in Mitchelldean in the Forrest of Dean Gloucestershire where he met my gran and moved back down to Gloucester and raised a family.... just wanted to know if anyone could remember/ask someone about a name or something as he would like us all to know our family history and i find it intresting.... Cheers for any help! Might Ask Murph.... hes old enough
