for the past 3 or 4 years I've bought the most basic and cheap DVD players I could lay my hands on - £15 has been about the average price. But you gets what you pays for and they've all stopped working within about 6-12 months. So a question.... is there any DVD player that I could buy for, say, £100 or thereabouts that would give me considerably better reliability and lifespan than one that I could buy for a sixth of the price that I could replace more regularly? Or should I stick with the £15 crap?

By the way, sound quality etc. is of absolutely no concern to me - I don't have one of these cinematic surroundsound systems, the noise just comes out of the telly. And that's not likely to change.
