what's the difference between the perfect, imperfect and pluperfect (verbs??)

Isn't perfect where you use 'to have'

so perfect would be

i have played/i have been playing (simple/continous)

imperfect would be

I played, I was playing (simple/continous)

I think pluperfect is to describe an action completed in the past?

Not sure though.

I wish i paid attention in school when we did this...trying to learn another language and having to deal with tenses/verb conjugations is impossible when you don't even know it in English

poor grammar??

I hate when people say 'do be' - example:

"and I do be raging when that happens"

Or "here be's he", as in here he was or this is what he said/did.

how sad is it to be at home on a friday evening - figuring out grammar cases in FINNISH and drinking beer on my own Surely it should be vodka!

no the Finnish homework...I have to write about a day where everything went wrong..how typically Finnish

For a language with no future tense, the past tense is fecking hard! depressing bstards

The beer is Grolsch, nothing fantastic - 8 bottles for a £5

The Imperfect is 'was doing' etc. The pluperfect is 'had done'.

Imperfect: Ich tötete ihn (I was killing him)

Pluperfect: Ich hatte ihn getötet (I had killed him)

Yeah, I'm in Wiesbaden which is a long way from Berlin.

I'm actually closer to Berlin now in Prague - just been to this http://www.valdstejn.org/en/default.aspx which was interesting.
