Dule Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 I read in the article on skysports where Fergie is complaining about the new international fixtures but also mentions the 7 sub rule for next year, when was this announced? P.S I think its great, specially for the chance to see some youngsters on the bench and this is actually what Rafa was asking for about 2 seasons ago.
kopindian Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 I think it will help us a lot, especially with rotation too. Many players will be diesappointed with not being in the squad currently. Also will be perfect for blooding in youngsters.
Will Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 It was announced last week that it had been organised
Boca Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 It was announced last week that it had been organised Also mentioned in an imaginatively titled thread in the General Footie forum
MFletcher Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Football authorities in decent idea shocker.
PrittStick Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 If nothing else it will allow for even more rotation (gulp) and would shut up all of those commentators who say "Christ, Crouch has not even made the squad." Don't really see the point in it, to be honest. Its not like any more substitutions can be made. Just gives more options. Beneficial perhaps to those with a large sized squad but not really amazing for The Little Teams. Like Everton.
goodrobotusses Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 It's about damn time too. I guess the Premier League decided to use a sensible idea to offset the stupidity of this extra foreign game idea.

Beneficial perhaps to those with a large sized squad but not really amazing for The Little Teams. Like Everton. it would give you the option of putting 1 or 2 up and coming youngsters a place on the bench so that they can come on if you are winning comfortably without sacrificing the strength of your bench , in case you might end up chasing the game and need to bring on someone experienced.
floyd Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Wonder if it'll change Rafa bringing a sub on at 61 minutes? Then 80 mins, then 86 mins.
