I've had someone round to draft a will for the family. There was a small fee for drafting it which i'm not too bothered about. Its the charges for administering the estate that strike me as a bit of a rip off.

This guy was offering their service to store the will in their vault and legally administer the estate after we've snuffed it for about £1500.

He was claiming that a solicitor could charge £20k in fees to administer the estate and that I should sign up with them. I'm not sure if I should just nominate my solicitor as executor of the will ?
