Irish insults

[John am Rhein]

Is there some word, beginning with 'J' I think, that's used by people in the west and/or south of Ireland to refer to Dubliners? I got the impression it was a little patronizing rather than an actual insult.

 

Our bar manager - who's actually from Westmeath, not Dublin - wasn't too impressed when a tour party of Xmas-Market-Vistors from Cork or somewhere came in and called him that - in the nicest possible way, of course.

 

Our comments at the bar that the bingo bus had arrived may have riled them a little, of course.
