Shortland Street actor Adam Rickitt is reported to be at the centre of shoplifting allegations.

 

The Herald on Sunday says Rickitt has admitted failing to pay for cheese, a bottle of sauce and a jar of coffee at a Henderson supermarket.

 

Police have questioned the 25-year-old, who says the incident was an honest mistake at a time of stress.

 

The British actor, who has also appeared on Coronation Street, expects to face charges.

 

Not sure whether this will help or hinder his dreams of being a parliamentary candidate for the tories.
