honourablegeorge Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Interesting few words on trainign under Rafa from bellamy, about halfway through this: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/audio_vid...icle2475104.ece
The_Adder Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 What does he say? Aint got speakers...!
Rimbeux Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 He just talks about managers. He doesn't slag any of them off, but he seems to have enjoyed playing for Robson and Hughes because they believed he had more to his game than playing off the last shoulder, allowing him the freedom to drop deep and play in the hole. On our training, he was being lead in by Ballague who was pushing a line that PA was the good cop/fun guy needed to bring balance to the (boring)tactical sessions of Benitez (and so will be missed). Bellamy said our training was conditioning first with PA then tactical set play with Rafa, but that he was used to training being small sided games and then some fitness work after as is the way with British coaches with not too much tactical work, which he sometimes switches off from.

If he paid more attention to the tactical side of the game then maybe he wouldnt be caught offside as much.
