Portsmouth-Liverpool in London

I'm going to London this weekend and wonder if anyone know any good (Liverpoolfriendly) pubs to watch the game? I'll be staying in Russel Square if that helps.

Cheers

Thanks! I guess most pubs show the game, was just looking for someone that is known as a "Liverpool pub".

Not really. Most pubs that show the matches will have a decent sprinkling of reds but in central London you won't find pubs 'belonging' to certain teams, and definitely not non-c*ckernee teams.

anyone know if there's a bar showing Sky Sports in Manchester Airport....... :hmm:

I know terminal 3 has at least one bar with sky sports as i've watched a rugby league match in there at easter time this year. Pretty sure another bar there might have it as well.

Also terminal 1 has as well as i somehow watched Blackpool v Oldham in last seasons play off semi in there.

Terminal 2 - no f***ing idea.

There's an Irish pub on Euston Road that's almost opposite St Pancras station. Should have the game on.

That's an O'Neills I think, yeah they normally have the match on. Also Euston Flyer will have it on, decent Fullers place. There is one called "The London Pub" near Russell Square tube, they will have the match on I think.

I would recommend the Queens Head on Essex Road near Angel tube. The landlady is a red, there's a This is Anfield sign behind the bar and there's been a decent gathering of Liverpool fans in there when ever I've been in.

Unfortunately last time I was in (Villa away) she said they were moving pubs down to near Old Street - not sure if they've moved yet. Will try to find out

Any news on that move?

It's actually The Kings Head - the Queens Head is on the other side of the road (my screw up on the original post)!

I don't know if they've moved yet - I must admit I've not been down there since the Villa game first week of the season 'cos of work. I picked up on the place from this thread on RAWK - so may be an idea to post on there.
