Favourite author

I like reading quite a wide range of books but there are one or two authors whose work I know will generally hit the spot. Recently I've been absolutely immersed in Malcolm Pryce's Aberyswyth novels (gutted I'd never seen these earlier) which are fantastic but picking one particular author to stand out, it would have to be Wodehouse - quite simply the funniest man ever to put words to paper. Doesn't really matter what it is or when I read it, guaranteed to put me in a good mood.

 

Doubtless this will be shot down but any more contenders?
