Remember a while back spike sent around the application form to appear on a new gameshow?

Well, having some serious money probs, i said feck it.... I filled it in and thought nothing more of it.

Two weeks later I got a phone call....

Voice: Hi jay, this is (some dude) from itv sing auditions. We like to ask you a few questions in relation to the appication you sent in.

Anyway some discussions to my music taste took place and I had to take a "sing the next line" quiz.

Songs were:

Madonna - Holiday

Tom Jones - Its not unusual

S Club 7 - Don't Stop

Anyway I got 1 out of 3. I thought thats the end of that. Until I got a call back for a second audition...

This time to the royal college of music in mancland.

It was a sunday and had nowt planned so me and the missus took the drive. This time it was infront of camera, full stage and hosted by Paul Gambicini

Anyway got there did some x-factor type promo shots... alarms started to ring.... Met the producer who indicated to us all that he wanted, and he used these words... WACKY, MADCAP and OFF THE WALL individuals. If we got a question wrong we had to be visibly dissapointed and if we got one right we should sell ourselves and run around like an idiot.

Although I don't have much i do have some self respect, and was certainly not gonna make a fool of myself on national tv for anyone.

So my turn comes to appear on stage, I walk out wave to the camera and say....

Hi I'm Jay from dublin, I'm a draughtsman..... as instructed. I was smiling the whole time and made good banter with paul.

This time my 3 questions were

Cliff Richard - The Young Ones

Craig David - 7 Days

T'Pau - China in your hand.

Again I got 1 out of 3 but I should have been givin the china in your hand as I missed out 1 word but paul was pissed at me for gettin cliff wrong.

Anyway I went away and watch the rest of the contestants from the audience. It is quite clear that some people will do owt to get on TV, one bloke said he had to hurry up to paul as he was a race driver and had a race at 7, but I had heard him afterwards saying "Race car driver / taxi cab driver same thing" one girl was visibly flirting with gambicini, when pointed out afterwards that he was a raging homosexual she said she didn't care cause she reckons she's got a shag with one of the producers.

Ridiculous behaviour.... I enjoyed myself if only for the idiots I encountered.

People are strange but that does not excuse me i suppose.

So forum... i am sorry (mind if I had have got on I would have told you all to f*** off!)
