Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink

is apparently not the man to spearhead Charlton's assault on the Championship

Hasselbaink released by Charlton

Charlton have released striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink after only one season at The Valley.

Hasselbaink joined Charlton last summer on a free deal from Middlesbrough, where he spent two successful seasons.

But he did not transfer his goalscoring form and the 35-year-old scored only two goals in 25 Premiership appearances as the Addicks were relegated.

The Holland international's last goal was in Charlton's 3-1 home defeat at the hands of Boro in January.

Sure that'll cheer up the Charlton fans who booed his arrival yesterday.

Could see a very old dear having a go at some young lads for that the (The lads in the curly wigs and 'tashes), telling them to shut up, he is in a Charlton shirt and support him. One of them had a right go at her but she stood her ground untill the c**k realised he was the only one still stood up shouting at her and that people were looking at him like the f***ing knob end he was.
