Buying off plan properties abroad

Anybody have any experience of this?

 

I'm thinking about a place in Poland but I 'm abit surprised by the payment options:

 

In ireland I think it is generally:

Pay a an initial fee

Pay the balance of 10% deposit

Once snagged happy with everthing play the rest.

 

The company I dealt with in Poland have gave me one price to pay all up front (No thanks!!)

 

THen the other option was staged payments:

may 07 (5%)

June 07 (20%)

Aug 07 (25%)

Dec 07 (25%)

 

No mention of once apartment is snagged etc. you pay the balance

Is this normal?
