People staying at the bar

We've probably all done this I know but jeesh - why not just buy your drinks and then GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IN THE BAR to drink them - instead of all standing / sitting at the bar, preventing others from getting close, and then frown at anyone who has the nerve to shout their orders from behind them. And then god forbid, have the audacity to reach passed them to pick them up? (with yet more frowning)
