Building Regs and Councils

The Gas Boilers gone in our house and the situation is going from bad to worse.

1st, turns out the radiator heat vent pipe, ends up in our hot water tank that feeds the house taps for baths and sinks etc.

2nd, wrong type of water tank for the heating system we have and the extension that was built is fed separately from the rest of the house from the same tank

3rd, the electrician turns up to day to do the "management" system for the new boiler and now it turns out the wiring in the extension may not be to regulations either, he is testing at the moment and I am awaiting his decision.

Now the boiler may well have been replaced since the mid 80's when the extension was first built, but, the rest of the work is from completeion and so should have passed an inspection. If the building inspectors haven't done their job properly, can I sue the ass of the lcoal council or make them pay, or, do I have to pay for the whole f***ing lot!!!!!!!!
