I think Xabi has another level to go and Javier can bring it out of him. I think if they play together then Xabi can get on with the business of becoming a real playmaker and possibly get more goals. He should with his triking ability but he's not normally near enough the goal.

Agree it could allow him to play further up the pitch, not only his shooting but his passing ability could be used much better in the final third.

I'd still say that Momo has to develop his on the ball skills to keep his place ahead of Mascherano next season. Gerrard and Alonso are pretty much permanent fixtures in the side and we'll get someone for left wing I hope (unless Harry recovers miraculously).

First half yesterday, Momo kept finding himself with the ball, in space, on the edge of their box - and he couldn't shoot or pass, he just gave it away.

 

Swap Alonso into that position, put Mascherano into Alonso's role, and we're a better, more creative side in posession.

 

Sissoko's a wrecking ball, and we'll need him for games like the Nou Camp, but when we need to break teams down or keep the ball he's not really the right tool for the job.
