D.Boon Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 What an incredible surprise. Shoddy maintenance regimes look like being the fault for the Cumbria crash. These corner cutting, money pinching feckers walked away scot free from the Potters Bar tragedy. Ultimate responsibility lies with the Chief Exec, directors and board on matters of health and safety. The HSE has the power to take them to court under a breach of their duties. This would be a time to send a message that safety comes first. 12 months prison time may make them take their responsibilities a little more seriously. Lets see if the HSE has some backbone. Branson thinks they are being dignified in accepting responsibility link
