I support this local village hall concert fund raising thingie, and every year I get asked, alonh with about half a dozen other people who go along, to do a 'spot'. I learn a couple of songs on my guitar and I sing em, badly, play em, even worse than I sing em. And its that time of year again and I have been asked again and I have to try and pick a couple of songs to do. And this year I am stumped. So I call on the great and the good of YNWA to make suggestions.

I have been asked to do two or three this year and I have picked Jake Thackray's Leopold Alcox, I am toying with the idea of Simon & Garfunkel's Homeward Bound, but not sure about it so I may need another one, possibly two. What should they be...? Heeeeelp!

The songs(s) have to be simple, catchy, and reasonably well known. To give you an idea of te sort of stuff I'm aimimg at, in previous years I've done songs by Johnny Cash, The Everly Brothers, The Beatles, The Carter Family, The Monkees, some traditional folk songs.... its that kind of stuff I need.
