Kids and a car

We're expecting our first child in May and are going to replace my wife's Suzuki Swift over the coming weekd to something a bit bigger for baby stuff.

 

Since we're new to this malarky we're not too sure what to look for. She wants a small to medium car with 4 doors and plenty of boot space. I suggested a Clio but a lot of people have told me teh boot space is crap. She now has her sights on a Citroen C3 but I'm not so sure - it's a bit girly looking and I may have to drive it on the odd occasion ;-). Or since it's gonna be her car should I just let her get on with it (and tell her she can park it outside the neighbours house)?

 

Anyone any better ideas? Ford Focus maybe?
